ERD diagram - relationship Phrase problem

In Entity Relationship Diagrams, there is the facility to enter relationship phrases to provide a context to the relationship. This is a useful facility but the VP UML implementation seems to have a problem.

In VP-UML, you can enter the phrases and you can drag them and position them where you want them. The problem is that the phrases do not remain next to the relationship line once you start dragging entites around the screen. At worst the end up in a completely different part of the diagram.

In other tools the phrases are glued to the relationship line, with one staying above the line and one below. They are read in a clockwise direction.

Is there an option in VP UML to change the behaviour or is there a way to make the phrases stick more closely to the relationship lines?

Thanks,
James

Hello James,

No matter where the phrase goes in the diagram, you can always right click on the relationship and select Reset caption position to bring them back. If you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

Best regards,
