Uniqueness of ID values

In the xml export there are id values used to uniquely identify the model objects. I need these to be unique across multiple BPVA clients.

Is there any chance of a repeat of value for these id's across different installations of the BP VA modeler? I've accidentally had repeats on id's in the past because the generator did not take into account id's created on different machines needed to be unique.

Thanks!

Hi errant01,

There do have chance for the id value to be duplicated. But the chance is very small. In general, you can treat the ID as unique.

Best regards,
Jick
