I did the same with VP SDE-VS 4.2 Standard Editon but do not seem to get any of them working, can somebody please tell me what am I missing?

Thanks for your post. In SDE-VS, the plug-in menus can exist only in the diagram's popup menu, please use the popup menu of diagram to run sample plug-in.
