  • Restructured menus for better usability and make it easier to locate different commands

Modeling

  • Package header in diagram level
Without dragging classes/packages into packages manually, you can easily store classes/packages into a package by entering the name of target package in the header of a Class Diagram.

  • Move model between package or sub-system using Tree (Model Tree and Class Repository)

  • New Use Case Description editor
The new version supports a standalone Use Case Description editor that is more easy-to-use and intuitive. Besides, it supports content in rich text format (HTML).

ORM Enhancement

  • New ORM Pane for better organization of O-R mapping matter

  • Map one Class to multiple database tables
In normal practice, one class is corresponding to one entity in Entity Relationship Diagram. The new version allows splitting an entity into multiple entities. With this feature, you can create a new table for storing new kinds of data and associate the new table to an existing table without affecting the corresponding classes.

  • SQL Customization
To customize SQL used in insert, update and delete operation for database specific optimization.

EJB Modeling

  • EJB Diagram
EJB Diagram is a new diagram type based on Class Diagram. It is in fact a variation of Class Diagram but offers easy and intuitive way to create bean classes via resource centric icons.

  • Synchronization between EJB Diagram and ERD
EJB is quite similar to the Relational Model in terms of their database modeling capabilities. The new version supports the synchronization between EJB Diagram and Entity Relationship Diagram.

  • EJB Code generation
EJB models created in EJB Diagrams can be used to generate the implementation of bean classes (Container Managed Persistence only).

  • Deploying EJB
Resulting EJB models can be easily deploy to application server such as JBoss, WebSphere, Sun and BEA
