I hve 2 activity diagramms. In each i want to habe an object named a “A”.
Now, when i save and restart my VP the 2. object will be renamed to “A2”.
Hs that right? Can’t i have two same named objects? THX

It is possible but the two objects will become the same instance after renaming. I have tried your case and cannot repeat the problem. Can you please provide more details?

Of course thats what i mean - the same instance.
If I rename object “A2” to object “A” and there is already an activity object with this name, i get only one instance. Thats a problem because when I rename one of these objects later, the 2nd object will also be renamed.
I think the problem is that the objects name is qual to the displayed text in the diagramm, because thats what i wanted to change.

This is an assumption in some of the model elements in VP-UML, likes swimlanes, that objects of the same name refer to the same instance. We know this may caused problems in some cases, but this assumption will remain true in the near future before we can find a better way to handle this. In the meantime you can delete one of the shared instance in the diagram, recreate it and rename to a different name as a workaround.
