Adding the same Subdiagram to several elements

I have a small problem with VP Suite 5.3, Build sp3_20061117.

In the state machine diagrams, I’d like to link several distinct states to the same subdiagram. However, every time I link the subdiagram to a state, it vanishes from the other state I already linked it to …

Is it somehow possible to do this, or is this for some reason something that is not / will not be supported?

I am unable to repeat the problem in version 6.0. Would you mind advancing to the latest version and try again? You could download it at:

Hi Jick,

i have the same problem with the “activity diagramm”, i don’t know if it’s possible to add the same subdiagramm to different “activity” or “action”

Hello DasIch,

You are not allowed to add the same diagram to multiple models as subdiagrams. However, you can make use of diagram reference. I prepared a movie to show you how to do this. Please watch at:
