Thank you for your message. We are sorry that round-trip engineering in SDE-VS (Professional Edition or above) only supports Visual C++. If you would like to generate ANSI C++ code, please run Instant Generator (available in Standard Edition or above). If you are interested in Instant Generator, please read:
Please be reminded that Instant Generator is one-off engineering and it will overwrite all existing code every time you run it. Round-trip engineering will only update changes in model to code (or vice versa).
By the way, we will support ANSI C++ round-trip engineering in coming release (VP Suite 4.2) which will be released on 11th January 2010.
Hope these help. Please feel free to ask if there is any further inquiry.
Hi, could u plz hint me, how generate C++ code from UML in Eclipse?
I’m able to do the same for Java, but if I open C++ project, and try to dump UML to C++ code, it says:
“Cannot update to code”
As I see, it can be done via “Tools” bar, but it’s in standalone VP, how about SDE?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your inquiry. I’ll check with our engineers and come back to you next week.
May I know whether you want to generate ANSI C++ code by C++ round-trip engineering in SDE for Eclipse (SDE-EC)?
If so, I’m sorry that ANSI C+ round-trip engineering is supported in VP-UML Professional Edition or above. SDE-EC only supports Java round-trip engineering (in Professional Edition or above).
Please let me know if I misunderstood your need or you have any further inquiry.
