Can someone give me a brief definition of what a candidate class is? Thanks in advance.
Hi Bill,
A candidate class is a class which is most likely going to be a class.
We use this terminology in our Textual Analysis which is used for identifying classes.
Please see our tutorial on using Textual Analysis at: http://www.visual-paradigm.com/content/LearningCenter/04UsingVP-UML/html/TextualAnalysis/TextualAnalysisforIdentifyingCandidateClasses.html
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks, that clears it up. I appreciate the prompt response.
I’ve been programming for 15 years, the last 4 of which has been using an OOP language. Now I’m diving into Java/WebSphere and wanting a better methodology and tool set for the analysis and design phase. So far, I’m very impressed with Visual Paradigm.
