Column Names: Non-Letter Characters

I’m trying Database Visual Architect for the first time and really like it so far.

For my current project, I need to create a simple database model that will only be used for presentation – not for engineering.

I need to use column names with characters besides only letters – such as hyphen, quotes, slash, etc.

DB-VA will not accept these characters when I enter them into the column names.

Is there a way to turn this feature off so that I can use these additional characters when naming database columns?

Thanks!

Hi Msczwerbka,

Thanks for your post. As non-letter characters are not expected to be entered, inline editing does not support non-letter characters. But there is flexibility so you can open the Specification dialog of the column to enter the non-letter characters there.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask if there is anything we can help.

Best regards,
