when you use the VP Suite as restricted user on windoes or linux and you have got no write permissions to the VP Suite installation dir you cannot export the log file with help -> About -> export log file, because this is written in VP_Suite_Installdir/bin/vp.log. When an restricted user has got problems with the software its impossible the get a feedback what went wrong. We currently use the latest VP Suite 3.0 Sp2 available on your homepage. Have you got any workarounds for this problem?

VP Suite 3.1 Service Pack 1 has been released with the fix of the permission problem related to exporting log file. If you are running VP Suite 3.1, you can advance to Service Pack 1 by running the Updater inside the bin folder of VP Suite installation directory.
