Beginner to UML. Can ant1 pls help me constucting a class diagram for I2C Communication

Thanks for your post. UML is a modeling language which does not have specific rules to govern how to use it, so you can use UML to model what you want.
But if you are asking how to use UML to model I2C Communication, I regret to say it’s difficult to help since we never know all your actual requirements and expectation.

Look into this application note by Xilinx http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/application_notes/xapp385.pdf. It has good statechart for I2C communication.
