How do I updgrade?

I’m running SDE-VS 5.0 SP1 and want to upgrade to SDE-VS 5.1 SP1, how do I do this?

I’ve got the new installation package but this just tells me that SDE-VS is installed.

I’ve also tried using VP Suite Update 4.0, but this just gives me a ‘Retrieve Servers Failed’ message. I’ve configured the proxy settings but still get the error message.

Thanks for your post. In order to upgrade to SDE-VS 5.1, please uninstall VP Suite 4.0 (SDE-VS 5.0) first. After that, please download VP Suite 4.1 installer (can be download from “Software” page of the Customer Service Center: ) to install the SDE-VS 5.1 with upgrade license of SDE-VS 5.1 (if you have the floating license, please import the new floatinglicense.keys file to the license server).

By the way, running “VP Suite Update 4.0” cannot upgrade your product to VP Suite 4.1. It can only perform minor upgrades (e.g. from v4.1 to v4.1 SP1). For major upgrade (e.g. from v4.0 to v4.1), you need to download new version software installer.
