Import from ERWin file into VP ERD

I have tried to import an ERWin file (both XML formats) into VP/UML, and, though the diagram itself, and the entities and attributes, come across fine, I don’t see any of the comments on tables or attributes of tables that are in the ERWin diagram. I can’t tell if this is a problem with the ERWin export, or the VP/UML import.

This problem is fixed. Please download the hotfix at:

I guess you know how to install the hotfix. If not, please refer to:

Thanks, Jick, but, the shortcut you sent me is pointing to a vpplatform.zip file that has a lot of stuff, but, I can’t find the .jar file in it.

Hi don,

I guess you were downloading with Internet Explorer. I.E. automatically converts the .jar to .zip, therefore, please rename it to .jar manually.

Thanks, Jick… and, I am now using the new version of vpplatform you sent, but, I still see no documentation comments on the columns, or the tables, when I do the import from the ERWin xml file. I know the comments are there, as I opened the xml file directly in ERWin, and can see them…
