Installation fails on Mandriva 2008 x86_64

I tried to install the Smart Development Environment 4.2 Community Edition for Eclipse, both install and no_install versions, and they both fail.

Bellow is an extract from the log file (taken from the log file from /tmp dir):

My question is: can I install it on a x86_64 architecture, because line 27 says this OS is not supported; is it the OS (Mandriva 2008 Linux distro) or the x86_64 architecture?

OK, problem solved. I could start the installation. The solution can be found in the following topic “Installation fails un Ubuntu 7.10”. :thumbup:
I didn’t know there is a problem in regards to java integration with compiz-fussion. I use Eclipse as an example, and is working fine, but Eclipse doesn’t use Swing … and this is waht this issue is all about: Beryl doesn’t properly handle Swing Java based apps unless you do that trick.
But, at the end of the day, the problem is solved. :stuck_out_tongue:
