Iteration without combined fragment

I can’t get the iteration indicator (*) and/or recurrence condition to appear on a sequence diagram for a call message.

What I want is just something like:

  • [no stop signal] run()

The application seems to accept the data: If I do an ‘Open Specification’ on the message and then open the specification for the Action Type, there is both an ‘Iteration’ checkbox and a Recurrence/Condition text box. They don’t appear on the diagram, though.

I can model this functionality using a loop Combined Fragment, but I have a number of these and the newer format gets very cluttered.

Hi gberezowsky,

The asterisk indicator is added for message with interation message type. Please download the hotfix at:
http://files2.visual-paradigm.com/200607/Hotfix/20060707c/vpplatform.jar

The following page teaches you how to apply the hotfix to your installation:

I will post again when a complete release is ready.

Hi gberezowsky,

I would like to notify you that build 20060721 is released. Since you were asked to install a hotfix release to solve the problem of missing the asterisk indicator, I would recommend you perform an upgrade to advance to the newest release. To update, run the updater inside $vp-suite-installation/bin

Please feel free to let me know if you require any assistance.

Best Regards,
Jick
