I’m experienced with computers in general and DFDs, but green as grass with Visual Paradigm, so forgive me if I’m overlooking something obvious.
I’m drawing Data Flow Diagrams and want to expand a process into sub-processes. I select the process I have in mind and right click to pull up a menu and select DECOMPOSE to generate a subprocess. A pop up asks if I want to include External Entities and Data Stores. If I say yes, the new subprocess includes the External Entities and Data Stores, but NOT the Data Flows that connect them to the parent process. If I say no, I get a blank screen.
It’s essential that a subprocess include the Data Flows from the parent. What am I doing wrong?
