Personalizing the generated PDF Report

I was wondering if there is any possibility to personalize the generated PDF report. Interesting changes would be

  • sorting of use cases (e.g. by rank)
  • sorting of classes (e.g. by namespace)
  • adjusting which parts of a diagram a “printed” (e.g. not “printing” the communication links in a use case diagram)
  • …

Is there a possibility to do this? Maybe a central template used to generate the PDF that I could change?

Currently the PDF report generation is not able to be customized. If you want to create customized report, please try the Report Writer feature. The Report Writer allows you to ad hoc create the document with customized content. The documentation can be output into Word format.

I realize this is an older post, but I’m bumping it up. Has anything changed since 2005 that would allow me to sort PDF and/or HTML generated reports? We currently own BP-VA and are just now starting to use it for documentation. We have downloaded the trial version of the Suite 2.3 but the Report Writer is not available to use (maybe because it’s a trial?) so I don’t know if that would suit our needs. When I generate a PDF or HTML report, it doesn’t follow the flow of my diagram, and the new UML I added appears at the bottom of the report rather than at the top. Have there been any additions in the newer versions that would allow me to sort the report ordering?

Sorting of diagrams is available (please see the attached image). Although models are not available for sorting, we will add more options for user to decide how the models will be ordered (e.g. name, type, flow of elements)

the Report Writer is not available to use

I regret that Report Writer is not available in BP-VA.
