# Remove the backup files that VP created in local folder

The backup files that VP created will make my folder chaos. Would you consider remove the backup files while one’s working with it.

I suggest to have an option for keep how long of backup files.

Even better

- An option for specifying a different directory for storing backups
- An option to switch off backups (chances are there are other means for backup already in place, e.g. TimeMachine)

I would personally just switch backups off, as I keep my project folder under Git.

This should be a minor feature and should be there from the beginning.  
Is there any progress in this and/or plans to implement such an feature?

I would like to add my support for a separate backup folder.
