Reserve Java source crash

Hi all,

I downloaded the trail version of VP to test. I’m “attempting” to reverse engineer my Java code to generate a sequence diagram but every time I attempt it, I get a white box and the program crashes.

Is this a known fault?

Hello Jim,

This sounds very abnormal. Would you mind send me the following logs to have a look?

  • the application log file, which can be exported from the About dialog.
  • the VM log file, which can be found inside the bin folder of the installation directory of VP-UML

Hi Jim,

Thank you for your post. Other than vpupdate.log, do you see any other .log files inside the bin folder of VP-UML installation directory? The filename should have a name in this pattern: hs_err_pid%p.log (so similar)

If yes, please also upload them here. Thank you in advance!

Sorry for the late reply. I’m afraid I can’t see any other logs. I currently have in the bin folder;

  • vp_windows
  • Visual Paradigm for UML
  • Visual Paradigm Shape Editor
  • VP-UML Product Selector
  • VP-UML Update
  • vpupdate
