Bug present when using Windows 10 “Creators Update”.
Project > Open, Project > Save, and Ctrl + S all cause a crash. Crashing the program to desktop without warning or errors.
File dialogues open before crash but appear for only a split second and appear blank.
Assuming the file dialogue or something related is causing the issue and needs updating.
Rollback to Windows 10.0 solved the issue and the program is again responding normally.
Thank you for your inquiry and I’m sorry about the problem you experienced. Unfortunately the problem you have is caused by a bug in Java. When running Windows in god mode (in creators update), open file chooser will crash the Java runtime (JVM). We are now waiting for Java to release update with this fix. In the meantime you can delete the God Mode folder, or run VP with the metal look & feel (Window > Application Options > General > Appearance > Look & Feel) to workaround to this problem. BTW, our engineers developed workaround to the JVM crash on Window 10 creator update God mode issue. For v14.1 user please update their software to latest patch build sp1_20170815ai or later to get this enhancement.
