Visual Paradigm 17.1 CE integration into Netbeans 21 (Ubuntu 22.04 )

Hello,

I am attempting to integrate VP (Visual Paradigm) into NetBeans 21, but I consistently encounter a Java IOException every time I try. The error message appears as follows:

I am a student, and some of my classmates have reported experiencing the same issue when using Mac or Linux systems. Interestingly, it seems to function properly on Windows.

Could you please assist me in understanding why this issue is occurring?

The problem you experiencing is caused by VP application is not run with sufficient permission to write files to your Netbeans to perform integration. You can either run VP with admin permission (right click and select Run as Administrator, or have your Netbeans setup at a location which do not require admin permission for writing files to get this problem solved.
