I’ve got a project with about 28 activity diagrams in it currently and everything is working great except three things. I’m using the latest version of UML 5.3 that I installed last week.
I’ve added the Diagram Information shape to all of them in order to show what’s in the Diagram’s Description window. However, when adding some of them, the Control Flow arrows all point directly to the top left of the screen. As a result i have to delete all of the arrows pointing there and reconnect the shapes. It also really messed up my swimlanes in one of them, to the point where I had to redraw the entire diagram.
Steps to Reproduce:
- On activity diagram right click --> Add Shape --> Diagram Information
- Put it somewhere besides the top left hand corner.
- Resize it.
It doesn’t happen all the time but it happened on about 5 of the diagrams today. Is this a known issue?
Secondly, when putting HTML tables into the Activity Diagram Descriptions field, the HTML table does not appear in the Report or in the Diagram Information shape. It just appears as plain unformatted text.
Thirdly, undo doesn’t always work. For example, if you select multiple objects, and align them using the wrong option (for example Left Align) so all the shapes are now on top of each other. If I hit Undo nothing happens. As a result all the shapes must be taken off one by one and the diagram rebuilt.
We’re looking at buying between 10 and 100 licenses of Visual Paradigm Standard Edition and these are the issues that are really hanging us up at the moment.
Thanks.
