BPMN 2.0 xml import/export - very important but missing features

Dear VP Team,

I’m a happy VP customer for about 3 years and I like the UML tool very much.
Because I started to work on BPMS systems and working with BPM diagrams I started to look for some (good) tool.
I have been evaluating BP-VA for a few days and it looks ok for me, but there are some critical features missing:

[ul] Importing already existed BPMN 2.0 xml files is also very welcome feature. I understand that they don’t contain any layout related information, so it’s up to BP-VA to layout it (and after that allow user to modify it and save as a BP-VA project). Very welcome, but (in my hierarchy) on the third place. But only because I’m just starting. For people having already existing xml files maybe as important as export.
[/ul]
As I said earlier - I like your product and support very much and you were the first point I looked for new tool. But missing these three features stopped me and it’s useless for me. Hope you will work on that and some day (soon, please!) you will add this stopper functionalities. If you need beta-tester for these features please let me know, I will be happy to help you.

Or… maybe I just can’t find these options? :?:

best regards, Zbigniew Ogledzki

Hi zgibek,

Thank you for your suggestion. I would like to inform you that your suggestion about exporting and importing BPMN XML has been supported in the latest version of BP-VA (and Agilian, VP-UML, SDE).

If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to post again. Thank you again for the suggestion!

Best regards,
