Can I create object diagrams?

Hi,

I am new to UML and am taking a class that uses UML right now. I have a recent assignment that requires me to create class diagrams for certain scenarios and then based on the class diagram I am supposed to create an object diagram. The object diagram is an illustration of an instantiation of all or part of a class diagram. Is there a way for me to do this in VP-UML? Do I just set up for a class diagram, but modify the way it looks, removing directional arrows and multiplicity constraints? I guess it can be done that way.

By the way, I am using the text book: “Systems Analysis and Design with UML Version 2.0” for my class.

Dear Ken,

Sorry for my late response. I suggest you can use the Communication diagram and Composite Structure diagram to model the instantiation of all or part of the system.
