Changing business process objects

Is there a way to change a process object (i.e. change a task to a gateway or intermediate event, etc.) without deleting and replacing it?

Hi heatherfoote,

Thank you for your inquiry. Please try this:

  1. Right click on the task (just for example)
  2. Select “Related Elements > Change Type…” from the popup menu
  3. Select Gateway and confirm

I tried the suggested solution but I do not have a “Change Type” option on my “Related Elements” menu options…

Hi Jick,

I’m working with MEChacon…we both have Agilian SE 10.2 (Build 20131006).

Our assumption was that the same functionality that is in Logizian should be in Agilian…

Hi user,

The conversion of element type is supported both in Agilian and Logizian. I just wanted to see if you are using an old version that doesn’t support the feature yet. But obviously you are using the latest version. Let me check again. I will post again when there is any new finding.

Hi MEChacon and user,

I got it. You have to enable “Advanced UI mode” first. Please do the following:

  1. Select Tools > Application Options from the main menu
  2. Open General > Environment tab
  3. Check “Advanced UI mode”
  4. Click OK to confirm

Then you will see the popup menu.
