Choose inheritance strategy

Hi!
I have follow class diagram (please see classes.jpg). Can I get the follow ERD (ERD.jpg)? What kind of inheritance strategy I must select for each class?

Thanks for your inquiry. Please refer to the attached image for how to configure the inheritance strategy on the super-class “Class”. Hope this helps.

But in this case Class4 lose own parent in Relations (please see attachment). Why?

Hi Eugeny,

For the problems you reported on 2009/11/13 18:39 and 18:44, they should be solved by removing the entities and re-sync from class diagram. Did you do this to “solve” the problem?

Yes, I removing the entities and re-sync from class diagram. But somewhere It’s work, somewhere It isn’t work…
P.S. So, problem I reported on 2009/11/13 18:39 and 18:44 is actually.

Oh, I’m sorry. It’s working then “Top Base Class” table per subclass FK mapping is selected. But in case of select “Super Class” it isn’t work…

If this is the case, I just reply in above forum topic with patch (build sp1_20091125f or later) available. Maybe the patch can solve the problem mentioned in this forum topic?

Sorry, but it isn’t work in sp1_20091127 build (In the same time this build solved the problem, that described in http://forums.visual-paradigm.com/posts/list/163990.html).

Hi Eugeny,

Thanks for sending the project file to my email address. Our engineers checked there are some invalid FK so synchronization between class diagram to ERD does not work unless you removed all entity models from project and synchronize again. We need to fix the project file to solve this problem - should I fix the one you sent or you have an actual working project which needs to be fixed?

Thanks for replying. We fixed the project you sent and I just sent it out to your email address. Please have a check in your email address, and you can simply synchronize the class diagram to ERD to get the relationships generated correctly.
