I am using Visual Paradigm 18.1 and I have configured Default Tagged Values for BPMN Tasks.
For example, I have defined the following Tagged Values for the Task element:
Responsable
Sistema
Criticidad
SLA
When I create a new Task manually in Visual Paradigm, these Tagged Values are correctly available.
However, when I import a BPMN 2.0 diagram containing Tasks, the imported Tasks do not contain the configured Default Tagged Values.
Steps to reproduce
Create a Visual Paradigm project.
Configure Default Tagged Values for BPMN Task.
Confirm/apply the new Default Tagged Values.
Import a BPMN 2.0 file containing several Tasks.
Open the specification of one of the imported Tasks.
Check the Tagged Values.
Expected behavior
The imported BPMN Tasks should be treated as BPMN Task elements and should therefore receive the Default Tagged Values configured for that element type.
Actual behavior
The imported Tasks do not contain the Default Tagged Values.
Manually created Tasks receive them correctly.
Question
Is this expected behavior for the BPMN 2.0 import?
If it is not expected, could this be considered a bug in the BPMN import process?
I would also like to know whether there is a configuration or option that forces Default Tagged Values to be applied to elements created through BPMN import.
This is important for our use case because we are defining a corporate process model with standard metadata for every BPMN Task. BPMN diagrams may be imported from external sources, so we need imported Tasks to automatically comply with the same metadata definition as Tasks created directly in Visual Paradigm.
