Sorry, we have no plan for supporting .odt
And I just open the .docx by LibreOffice Version: 4.2.8.2, it can show the tables. (seems it is released at 2014)
I will test on OpenOffice later…

about Google Doc, it is really failed to convert our .docx into google doc (it shows “Unable to convert document”)
I try to save the .docx via Microsoft Word, and try to upload to Google Drive again, it has no problem on opening in google doc.

I think we should check why failed to convert to google doc, and test OpenOffice.

Sorry, There are some problems (some paragraph styles are duplicated) in the .docx, which generated from us.
Seems Microsoft Word and LibreOffice can auto fix those problems, but Google Doc will reject.

Our engineer just fixed those problems.
And I can open the .docx with Google Doc successfully. Hopes it help you.

Please update to latest patch (20180330aq) to try it.
