Doesn't work on Eclipse 2.1.3

I’ve just installed the community version and it completely fails. I am using Eclipse 2.1.3 and I can start SDE-EC, but when I follow the tutorial and create a new Java Project and select Import, the samples are not found.

Then I decided to create a new model and follow the tutorial. Once I create the new project, the toolbar does not appear. Using the File->New Diagram I click on New Use Case Diagram and nothing happens. The tutorial shows I should get a new window in which I would begin to edit. Is this supposed to work right out of the box, or is there something else that needs to be done first.

Thanks, Ed.

Dear Ed,

Can you attach the vp.log file so that we can investigate the problem? Thanks.

Regards,

Antony.

Sure.

Thanks I hope this helps.

I see the class that is missing and looking at the eclipse site it is only availble in eclipse 3.0. The download says it works with eclipse 2.1 and higher.

Does this mean I cannot use your tools until I upgrade to eclipse 3.0?

Here is the error from the vp.log
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.eclipse.swt.awt.SWT_AWT
at

This is from the eclipse site:
Package org.eclipse.swt.awt Eclipse Platform Release 3.0
org.eclipse.swt.awt
Class SWT_AWT
java.lang.Object
org.eclipse.swt.awt.SWT_AWT

The 2.1 documentation does not have this class.

Dear Ed,

In our new version of SDE-EC, some changes are made that makes it no longer supports Eclipse 2.1. We are still fixing this problem and will release a fix for it afterwards. Thank you for your information.

Regards,

Antony.
