Entity diagram: Unable to change primary key type

Hello,
I’m facing a problem with the design of an entity-relationship diagram using VP v10.
I would like to change the data type for the primary key of a table, but when I open the column specification window the column type control is disabled ( it is gray instead of black ). That column is used as foreign key on many other tables.
If I try to change the type for a column that is not referenced by other tables it works fine.

Any help will really be appreciated.

May I know is the primary key column is also a FK to other table?
