Error increasing memory on OSX

Hi,

The default memory on OS X for VP is 512MB. When I try increase the memory it gives as error. I have tried putting it in Engineered Mode, and I am not sure is this is related, but I get the same error : “Failed to adjust Max Memory”

My Mac has 16GB, so I would like to allocate a bit more than the 512GB to VP, especially for big projects.
