Fatal Application Error when trying to run VPUML for Eclipse

I installed the community edition of VPUML for Eclipse.

I am using Eclipse 3.0 on Windows 2000 Professional.

Upon starting the same, I get a Fatal Application Error saying that
"Unable to Launch the Application"
Unable to locate the applications ‘main’ class.
The class ‘sderunner.SDERunner’ must be a public class or must have
a ‘public static void main(String [])’ method. LAX

Upon opening the Details box, I see the following:

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: s/z (Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:486)

at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:111)

I’m getting the same error.

I installed SDE for IntelliJ IDEA

When I run SDE Community Edition for Visual Studio.NET, I am getting SDERunner.exe, Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. If someone knows how to rectify this, please let me know

I got exactly the same problem reported by bandupatil.
I installed SDE CE for IntelliJ IDEA (version 4.5) and I’ve j2sdk1.4.2_04 installed and working.
There are no SDE context menus in the IntelliJ IDE, too.

OTOH the standalone UML application (CE) runs without any problem.

Any help?

Dear bandupatil,

Thank you for your message. I notice that your post was made on 2004. Could you please try again with our latest release? I guess that the problem is solved already.
