Hosting local teamwork server on virtualised platform

Hello

I’m looking at purchasing both VP UML licenses and a VP teamwork server license to host the teamwork server instance within our organization. I’ve a couple of questions about the teamwork server which I can’t find in the product pages:

1.) Are there any license or technical restrictions on running a local teamwork server on virtualised windows servers?
2.) Are there and license or technical restrictions on starting a replacement copy of a local team work server in the event of a physical hardware failure on the server running the local teamwork server?

Hi user,

Please read the answers below:

  1. One copy of Teamwork Server license allows you to setup at most ONE instance of Teamwork Server.

  2. One copy of VP-UML license allows you to install VP-UML on not more than three machines, provided that you are the only user of those machines and at most one instance of VP-UML is started at the same time.

  3. There is no technical restrictions on running Teamwork Server on virtual machine

  4. As long as the files of both the Teamwork Server and repository are not damaged, you can migrate the server from one machine to another. I hope this has answered your question.

Best regards,
