How Can I Display More Than One ER Diagram at the Same Time?

Most modelling tools allow you to display more than one ER diagram at a time by tiling windows.

Is this possible in VP?

OK thanks, but that doesn’t solve my problem.

I expect it can’t be done, which I think is a major failure in the user interface.

Nothing, but from your first reply it seemed that the “Switch Diagram” window merely switched diagrams (as the name would suggest) rather than show multiple diagrams at the same time.

Where do I find the “Switch Diagram” window?

Hi John,

The way ionicatoms suggested is to click the “Open in New Window” of a recently opened diagram in the switch diagram pane, which is triggered using the hotkey Ctrl + Tab.

Alternatively, follow the steps in this video to open a new window and select the diagram to open using the project browser:

This method has an added advantage that the diagram to open need not be a recently opened diagram, but any diagram in the project.
