I’m going through a book HeadFirst Software Development. They teach basics there, I’m at the point where I need to gather user stories and split them into tasks. I’ve googled it and read in articles that Visual Paradigm can do that:
Writing user stories article:
Task pool from user story article:
So I downloaded community edition and I don’t have UeXceler in the toolbar as it was said in the article:
- Open the User Story page in UeXceler. If you are not currently opening UeXceler, select UeXceler > UeXceler from the toolbar first, and then open the User Story page.
I don’t have it:
After clicking long enough I found I can create user story map from Agile tab(switched to Enterprise evaluation because it said this feature wasn’t available in community edition iirc):
But even after I create user story map from Agile tab:
I can’t create tasks based on my user stories, there is no tasks tab when I open my user story, as it was said that tasks bar should be in the article:
I don’t have tasks bar anywehere:
I don’t need much, only what they teach in the book:

It looks like software doesn’t work as it is documented in documents at all.
Can you guys please help me and tell me what I can do to create user stories and create tasks linked to these user stories? Thanks
