How to insert synchronization in a state machine diagram?

A need to split a state into two end state this is depicted by a --|< bar .
Can anyone tell me how to do this.

Dear ronald,

Thank you for your message. You can split the state with the following steps:

  1. Right click on the state and select Add Horizontal Region/Add Vertical Region
  2. Right click on the state again and select Add Region (please right click at the name of the state)

After that you should able to see the state split into two regions. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

I have done what you described and could get the state to split (one down). Please have a look at the picture.

Best case senario I could recreate something like it in VP.
