I am new to VP Online, but we want to set up a team so that we can all share diagrams does VPO let us do that?
can we have some team members be able to share some diagrams with some team members but not others?
how are privileges managed?
Can we still do exports from the online version?

You can create separate projects for separate members. Here is an example. In this project, only Anita and John are involved. The other team members will have no rights to access it.
And yes, you can export online diagrams to various image formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF
