Installing DS Connector on VP Server in linux and configuring OpenLDAP to authenticate

Hello,

Ive read a few posts here regarding the same topic. There aren’t many posts here.

I downloaded the DSConnector for linux and ran it on my machine.

I got the connection and now I am setting up the LDAP integration.

We are in a company network and we use anonymous LDAP binding, that means we dont have bind dn or users or passwords as such.

How can we specify one group for example cn=full-company-access,ou=groups,dc=blaah… to have access to the Teamwork server.

I made an bot account to connect to the BIND, but I can’t seem to sync VP server to LDAP, it says “sync in 1 minute” but it actually never syncs. the log file says it tries to connect to ldap.

Hi TaaviA,

Thank you for your post. I have forwarded your case to our engineers to study. When there is any news, I will let you know.

Hi TaaviA,

Do you mean you already set up the connection with VP Server, passed 1st screenshot (configure directory server), configured users/groups on the right, then click Sync to VP Server?

BTW, while you are talking about VP Server, your screenshots are about VPository.

Best regards,
Jick Yeung

Resolved the issue.

The DSConnector service needs to run as a root program to synchronize data.
