Jump to new point on an activity diagram

I am using the standard edition of VB-UML and have a question about activity diagrams.

I have a relatively simple activity diagram that contains a loop. The body of the loop is quite complex and I moved it to a new activity diagram. The body of the loop was replaced with an activity.

What I would like to do is put some sort of marker to indicate that the loop body is in another diagram.

I currently have an activity representing the body of the loop. I can right click on the activity and select sub diagrams and pop over to the body of the loop. However this relationship is not reflected when I print out. I guess what I would be looking for is some sort of off page connector.

Is there something else that I can do?

Cheers,
Troy

Hi Troy,

Thanks for your post. You can simply add a Note to the loop body to indicate that it’s in another diagram, and the note will be printed out so that you can easily refer to corresponding diagram/print out.

If there is any further inquiry, please feel free to contact me.

You can use “ref” fragment.
I use Sparx Enterprise Architect case tools and this tools supports it.
