Linux installation problems!

Hi,
When I execute installation script in consolo i got following message:
Unpacking JRE …
Preparing JRE …
.sh: 217: bin/unpack200: not found
Error unpacking jar files. Aborting.
You might need administrative priviledges for this operation.

My java paths and so on are all ok, is that app lookinh unpack in its own jre bin
dir??

Any solutions for this, i got java 1.5.0.9 :shock:

Hi linuxman,

Sorry for this problem. Could you let me know which Linux OS (Fedora, Ubuntu, etc…) are you using?

A workaround for this problem is to use the No-Install version. You can download the No-Install version from the download page:

Hi,
I’m using Kubuntu 6.10 64-bit version.
No-Install version doesnt work either its just same unpack200 error
when executing those files of VP-Uml.

Kubuntu just installed so there’s nothing that i had changed in its paths etc…

Hi linuxman,

I am sorry to heard about this. We will test the problem and come back to you.

Hi,
My solution to problem was copying

libstdc++.so.5
libstdc++.so.5.0.1
to /usr/lib/

So now it works :lol:

Hi linuxman,

That’s great. Thanks for the information.

Best regards,
Jick

I got the same problem…

You say copying these files to /usr/lib, but copying these files from where?

Thanks.

Here’s some info about it:
