Model of Multiple Projects in Eclipse

I am using the SDE tool (with round-trip engineering) integrated into Eclipse. I noticed that for each project in the Eclipse workspace a new model (and model file) is made.

Is there a way to make an overview model that refers to different models (so Eclipse projects)?

What I want to do is make an overview model illustrating the dependencies between the different components in our system (one component is one project). I also want to make sequence diagrams that spans more than one component (thus project, or model).

Many thanks in advance for any input.

Alfred

Dear Alfred,

I am sorry that we do not support overview model (project) at this moment. But what you requested is meaningful. I will forward your opinion to our developers for further feasibility studies. Thank you for your post.

Hi Alfred,

By the way, you may consider using the Instant Reverse feature. With Instant Reverse, you can reverse engineer classes from different Eclipse projects into one single UML project.

Thanks Jick,

I will have a look into the instant reverse feature. This might be helpful for now.

Thank you for posting my suggestion to the developers.
