I’m looking for a tool to design ER (Entity-Relationship) diagrams from UML class diagrams for my MySQL based-applications. Is there any way I can achieve this task using VP for UML ?

Currently VP-UML does not provide ER diagram.

However you can use our “Instant Reverse” facility (available in VP-UML Standard Edition or above) to reverse engineer a database into a class diagram.
