Read Only right for a user

Hi,

What is the use of the Read Only right for a user. We have try to give it to a developper (which has no rights to update the UML model) by later we have’nt found how he can synchronize the model with the server. Update doesn’t work (no Update Right fine).

But how a user with Read Only Right can get the latest version of the model.

Hi Arnaud,

Thanks for your post. I suggest the developer to use the Viewer Edition which allows users to update project from the server. Please be reminded that Viewer Edition does not allow modeling the project file.

The Viewer Edition can be downloaded from the following link, you are able to select the product (e.g. Visual Paradigm for UML) and the edition (i.e. “Viewer”) during installation.
