Removing stereotype from components

Is there any way to remove the <> stereotype from components, so that the space could be used by other stereotype texts. The <> stereotype is already indicated by the traditional symbol in the upper right corner.
I’am thinking in the lines of symbol number 2 shown in table 8.1 of the UML superstructure spec. v2.0.

Hi Henrik,

Thanks for your post. I will pass your suggestion to our developers for further studies.

Hi Henrik,

Sorry for coming back to you so late. Our engineers had study the UML specification and found that the components with stereotype presentation is a keyword instead of a stereotype (please refer to UML 2.0 Superstructure Specification P.161). Therefore it cannot be removed. The component icon at the top right hand corner is, however, optional (according to presentation options). Do you think it will be OK if we provide options to hide the icon? Thanks in advance!

Hi

Right-click on your component, the follow :
Presentation Options -> Show Component option -> Icon

Hope this solve the problem
