Does anybody know how to give an Applet running in a web browser the required permissions to connect to a Remote Server which is running on a different server to that of the webserver.
one can easily apply persmissions if you use appletviewer, but this is totaly useless if you want to run the applet from a browser?
Any ideas would be great?
Note: I do not want to go down the road of signed applets!!
