Sequence Diagrams - Activation Bars Issue

Hi All,

hard to explain this one so i’ve included an image.

Basically when i try and place a message between two lifelines, the activation bars of other lifelines seem to grow in size! quite annoying that i continually have to resize all of the activation bars… Is this something i’m doing incorrect or a problem with the software?

Hi tkringle,

Base on my understand about Sequence Diagram, the current behavior is correct. When lifeline A calls B, the activation attached to A, where the call is made from, should not be shorter than the activation at B. It’s like a method invocation. Before the call is returned by B, A’s activation should remain active.
