Showing spring datatype in RationalRose class diagram

Hi All,

I am new to both Rational Rose 2003 version and UML. I read some books on UML.
I want to draw a class diagram. I have a class say EmployeeDao which has an attribute name “template” of type “org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTemplate”. How can show a datatype of type “org.springframework.orm.hibernate3.HibernateTemplate” ? in RationalRose 2003

Hi Sam1312,

Thanks for your post. Rational Rose is not our product, but our tool also support UML so you can draw class diagram with our tool. And with our tool, you only need to right-click on the class diagram and select Presentation Options > Configure Class Presentation Options and select “Full-qualified” to present Types of class members (please see attached image).

Also, you can generate Hibernate from our tool by Professional Edition of Visual Paradigm for UML (VP-UML)/Smart Development Environment (SDE), also by DB Visual Architect (DB-VA) Java/Professional Edition. You can find details about generate Hibernate (and database) from the links below:

Hope these help. Please let me know if there is anything we can help.

Best regards,
Lilian Wong
