Starting problems in DBVA-EC

I am using DBVA-EC 4.2 on Eclipse 3.2. My Jdk version is 1.6.

For some reasons whenever I start my DBVA-EC it exits giving JVM error as shown in attachment.

Also attached is the VP log.

My machine - DELL laptop is running on centrino intel processor woth 4GM RAM.

Can you please help?

Hi Santm,

Thanks for your post. Could you please try to change to standard theme to see if you can start DBVA-EC successfully?

What is standard theme ?

Hi Santm,

I mean the standard them of your platform, e.g. for Windows, you can select the predefined standard theme on Display Properties > Themes. Please let me know changing to standard theme can solve the problem or not, thanks!

I tried with JDK 1.5 also and find same problem.

I changed the my destop theme to Windows Classic but it did not work. i am still getting the same exception.

Hello Santm,

Can you try to rename the jniwrap.dll inside eclipse/sde/vp_windows folder to something else and see will it work?

Problem was with the OS - Windows Vista. It works fine in XP

Thanks for replying. Do you mean with standard theme on Windows Vista but still cannot run DBVA-EC? If you don’t mind, could you please capture a screenshot of the error message when start DBVA-EC? Thanks in advance!
