I’m using a book that teaches UML at version 1.3. One chapter discusses statechart diagrams. I don’t know how to create statechart diagrams in VP. Perhaps they are called something different in VP? Perhaps statechart diagrams are just a variation of some type of diagram that IS supported by VP? Any help?

You can try the State Machine Diagram in VP. Notice that the diagrams and notations supported by VP are in UML 2.0 standard by default. If you would like to create diagrams and notations in UML 1.x standard, please create a new project and specify “UML 1.x” from the New Projecct dialog box as the UML version.
