Hello Vito,
I would like to know whether the SVN integration still works well since our last meeting. Have you encounter any further problems? Please feel free to let me know if you need any help.
Best regards,
Jick
Sorry to ask motething more, Jick.
Last week we proved true that the only problem was with my Subversion server.
The chances are: it was misconfigured, or there’s a bug in the version we compiled (1.3.0).
Unfortunately I lost the configuration files with which you configured the other Subversion server (1.4). As I asked my colleague, who manages our server, to solve this problem, I wanted him to compare yours and his own configuration files, in case it is not necessary to compile a new version of Subversion, but only to correct its configuration.
Could you please send me the three files you edited on my machine to configure Subversion? I mean, you edited just a few lines. I need only a properly functioning configuration set of files.
Thank you if you can help me.
Regards,
Vito Meuli
Hi Vito Meuli,
Do you mean the change we did on svnserve.conf? It was to uncomment anon-access and auto-access, to make anon-access=none, and auto-access=write

Jick
Dear Vito,
I am happy to let you know that a newer build of VP Suite is ready. It is now safe to run the product updater (inside $vp-suite-install-dir/bin) to advance to the latest release. Please feel free to let me know if there are any questions.
Best regards,
Jick Yeung
Thank you very much, Jick!
I’m looking forward to have the new Subversion server set up. From what you said, the settings you suggested are already tested, and they don’t work with Subversion 1.3.0, so my collegue has to compile a newer version.
I hope there’s no issue with a Linux server. Do you know about people using a Linux based Subversion server with Visual Paradigm?
My colleague says our Subversion server accepts file locking from a Linux client, whereas it doesn’t accept them from a Windows client.
I hope the new build let it go well.
Best regards
Vito
